QNAP launches QVR Face version 1.1 for smart surveillance
QNAP Systems announced the launch of QVR Face Smart Facial Recognition Solution version 1.1. Integrating QVR Pro, QVR Face provides smarter face recognition and surveillance management applications, ideal for a range of solutions, including smart retail, door access management, and VIP welcoming systems.
“QVR Face version 1.1 greatly improves the accuracy of facial recognition and the number of recognized faces. QVR Pro streaming is now supported in addition to supporting any standard RTSP format streaming to provide Face Search functionality. QVR Face offers a complete and private face recognition and a monitoring management solution on one NAS.” said Jason Tsai, Product Manager of QNAP.
The new QVR Face version 1.1 utilizes a pre-processing algorithm, which can filter 70% of unsuitable faces for recognition (including blurred, fast-moving, and non-human faces) to improve recognition accuracy. QVR Face can accommodate more than 10,000 profiles, making it suitable for medium-to-large-size shopping malls, or enterprise offices. It also integrates QVR Pro 2.0 surveillance software, providing support for more than camera 140 brands, thousands of camera models, and the ONVIF protocol. QVR Face supports real-time video analytics from QVR Pro’s video streams, and the analyzed data can be stored in QVR Pro. You can easily search for corresponding faces and playback resulting clips by simply entering a name, Profile Key and photos uploaded in the Face Search function of the QVR Pro Client.
The QVR Face smart facial recognition solution can be downloaded from the QTS App Center. The app’s Basic Plan allows users to create an analytics task, or you can purchase a license plan to expand analytics tasks and add facial recognition profiles.
