Siqura recently announced that along with its sister company, TKH Security it has implemented a fully integrated surveillance and access control system at the Sheikh Khalifa Central Hospital located in Fujairah, UAE. The hospital consists of 11 specialized departments, a 32-bed emergency ward, a 3-storey rehabilitation building, and more than 700 parking spots.
The hospital was in need of a complete surveillance solution including cameras from Siqura with access control and video management that can be integrated with healthcare applications.
Commenting on the hospital’s implementation, Tariq Anwer, Sales Director – Middle East & West Asia at Siqura said “We worked closely with our partners to comply with the solution which conforms to the new guidelines in Fujairah. The video surveillance component consists of around 700 different Siqura cameras, working with VDG Sense video management software and storage. The iProtect access control system from TKH Security manages around 400 doors with card and pin authentication. iProtect security management system is able to flawlessly fulfill the set of complex requirements demanded by this client.”
The integration of multiple systems under one roof combined with the integration of healthcare applications provided an extra challenge.
Tariq further added “The scope of the project involved an integrated security management system consisting of Siqura cameras, VDG Sense VMS, and iProtect access control. These are all managed at an upper level by iProtect Security Management System. This is in addition to the integration option with third-party systems, for example baby-monitoring.”
The key products that were used in the project included Siqura 1004 series of dome and bullet cameras, VDG NVH series of servers, Pluto network controller, Orion door controller, Sirius card readers, and servers from iProtect. These products were ably supported by iProtect Access and Security Management Software and VDG Sense Video Management Software.
