Salto Introduces XS4 Eco Lock for Lockers
Salto has introduced the XS4 Eco Lock, a compact, durable, and fully integrated addition to its smart access ecosystem. Designed to deliver enhanced security, flexibility, and efficiency, the lock is suited for a wide variety of environments, including workspaces, educational facilities, sports centres, hospitals, and even self-storage facilities or other smart buildings.
With a fully wireless “plug & play” configuration, it enables rapid and seamless installation, making it an ideal retrofit solution. The absence of wiring or additional infrastructure allows it to adapt easily to metal or wood lockers, while its reversible design ensures compatibility with both right- and left-handed doors.
Equally at home in new developments, the XS4 Eco Lock combines modern design with practical functionality. Its dual-colour display indicates locker availability, and access is granted simply by presenting an authorised credential over the lock button. The system supports RFID, NFC, and Bluetooth® Low Energy (BLE) technologies, enabling the use of smartcards, digital keys, or mobile credentials. With mobile technology playing an increasingly important role in building operations, the lock offers operators improved security, streamlined management, and a more intuitive, keyless user experience.
Engineered for maximum performance and flexible design, the XS4 Eco Lock is a battery-powered smart locker lock built from halogen-free V0 flame-retardant PC plastic for durability and safety. Its advanced smart access capabilities, mobile credential support, and wireless connectivity are all housed within the locker door, protecting components from vandalism or damage. The lock meets DIN 4547-2 Class C break-in resistance standards and is compatible with various door thicknesses and materials. Powered by three AA batteries, it uses intelligent power management to extend battery life, with low battery alerts provided through user credentials or wirelessly via BLUEnet.
The XS4 Eco Lock is designed to eliminate the need for keys and codes, making it an effective retrofit option for existing lockers as well as new installations.
