Milestone Systems is showcasing its latest innovations at Intersec Saudi Arabia 2025, the Kingdom’s premier security and safety event. The company is also highlighting how AI, cloud platforms, and an open approach to integration can support projects such as Qiddiya and the Red Sea development, focusing on how open-platform video can be scaled and secured in Saudi environments that require resilience and flexibility.
AI, cloud, and smart city enablement
Milestone will highlight several new releases and upgrades at the event, emphasising making video insights more actionable:
- XProtect 2025 R1 & R2 enhancements
- Expanded cloud integration through the Arcules Plugin, now available for Professional+, Expert, and Corporate editions, enabling hybrid deployments with VSaaS capabilities.
- Advanced vehicle analytics with License Plate Recognition (LPR) extended to vehicle type, color, make/model, and angle detection. This is invaluable for traffic management and law enforcement.
- Access control visualisation
- Operators can monitor doors, gates, and card readers directly on Smart Maps, with live status and alarm acknowledgement in one interface.
- BriefCam AI analytics platform
- Performance and stability improvements for large-scale video analysis.
- New dashboards and mapping tools for incident visualisation and forensic investigations.
- Milestone AI Bridge 2.0.0
- A bridge between Milestone’s VMS and third-party AI engines, enabling predictive analytics and richer operational insights.
“AI now plays an important role in control rooms, helping security staff by reducing false alarms, improving reaction times, and spotting incidents before they escalate,” said Louise Bou Rached, Director of Middle East, Turkey and Africa. “At Intersec, we will show how AI-powered analytics, IoT sensor fusion, and open-platform flexibility can give Saudi cities the tools to operate with more efficiency and more resilience.”
Partner ecosystem and real-world impact
The company’s ecosystem-first approach will be visible on the exhibition floor, with technology partners joining Milestone to show integrated solutions for perimeter protection, cloud surveillance, and AI-driven analytics. This reinforces Milestone’s belief that no single vendor can meet the complex needs of a smart city. Instead, it takes collaboration and interoperability.
Firas Al-Beiruti, KSA Country Manager, Milestone Systems, said, “From landmark projects like Qiddiya and the Red Sea development to everyday municipal operations, the priority is the same: solutions that scale, adapt, and stand up to real-world conditions. Intersec is the opportunity to demonstrate how Milestone’s ecosystem can deliver exactly that.”
Milestone has continued to expand its footprint in the Middle East, with strong growth in the VMS market this year driven by regional demand for open ecosystems and AI-assisted operations across public safety, transport, and enterprise environments.
“Customers are less interested in the buzzwords and more concerned about outcomes. They want faster incident identification, smoother integration with city systems, and stronger assurances that video data is secure. That is the benchmark we are working towards,” added Firas Al-Beiruti.
