Suprema names Hanchul Kim as the CEO

Global leaders in access control, biometrics and time & attendance solutions, Suprema has appointed Hanchul Kim as the new CEO and he will lead the BioStar business division.

Speaking on his appointment, the new CEO Hanchul Kim said, “Last year, we saw a surge in demand for contactless solutions and flexibility in use of different credentials due to COVID-19. The advancement of AI deep learning technology also led to the spread of face recognition technology, leading to changes in the access security market. Suprema will focus capabilities to transform into a leader in the Access Control as a Service (ACaaS) field by further developing its AI deep learning technology and data analysis technology.”

Kim graduated from the University of Wisconsin and is an industry expert with extensive experience in software development and business development at global IT companies such as Samsung Electronics, Motorola, and Harman. After joining Suprema in 2015, he has led aggressive overseas business growth by expanding local channel network and establishing overseas branches.
