Nedap to introduce new license plate camera at Intersec Saudi Arabia

Nedap is all set to introduce the new standard in Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) technology with the launch of ANPR Lumo camera at Intersec Saudi Arabia 2019 from on April 14-16, 2019. The company will demonstrate the new camera that offers effective license plate reading in vehicle access control applications at the event.

Organizations have been looking for solutions which provide secure yet convenient vehicle access. Nedap’s ANPR Lumo identifies vehicles by capturing their license plates, making it the perfect solution for applications in which it is undesirable to issue (RFID) tags. This technology is used in situations where vehicles need to be granted access temporarily or incidentally, such as in employee or visitor parking applications.

The new ANPR Lumo features:

  • Deep learning algorithms enable a high accuracy, including Arabic letters & numbers
  • Modern, user friendly configuration using the web based software
  • Fully functional as a standalone access control unit or integrated to any third-party access control and parking management system

“By adding the ANPR Lumo to our platform, we enable our customers to benefit from the latest developments in ANPR technology. This advanced camera offers a high accuracy, even in regions with license plates that include different font formats, such as the Middle East.” Jochem van Ruijven, Managing Director at Nedap FZE.
